Richard G. Long, III grew up in Monroe, NC, graduating from Piedmont High School. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2011 before moving to Washington, D.C. While in Washington for six years, Richard worked at various nonprofit organizations in a fundraising capacity. He returned to North
Carolina to attend Campbell University School of Law, where he was a student attorney with the Community Legal Clinic and graduated cum laude in May 2020. Richard became an associate attorney at Perry, Bundy, Plyler & Long, LLP upon receiving his law license in 2020.
Richard and his wife live in Monroe. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, reading, and cheering on the Tar Heels.
